Main Street has been my go to LOVVEEE THEIR FOOD!! I’ve tried many of their plates & it never fails where I am not satisfied with the food. The costumer service is always good employees are always in a good mood checking up on their customers. The restaurant is very clean.
The food is fantastic! I asked for the most popular plate and they told me it was the poblano chicken cornbread with a side veggie salad. I can see why!! It was fantastic. I found myself eyeing everyone else's plates because they all looked great. Wish I had a menu with photos to know what the other orders looked like. Parking is a bit rough so you may have to circle the block a time or two. I will be going back to try everything else.
Native of Brownsville who now lives in a Austin, but was back in town visiting family. Had heard great things about this place and I was excited to dine here for both the ambience and food. Didn’t disappoint for a deli that is part of the effort to renovate downtown. The place was also super clean and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Will be back and recommend to others!
My husband brought me here for a late lunch & i was very satisfied with the food. Chicken Marsala is delicious! White rice was on point! I was super happy with the serving portion. My husband order the chicken poblano & that too was good. I love the atmosphere & had a good time. Definitely would love to come back
Loved it, atmosphere was just right with a nice outdoor seating area, food is made with some love. Staff is very professional and polite, My girlfriend and I are definitely making this our favorit downtown eating spot.
We stopped downtown for dinner after class and I ordered the chicken bacon avocado sandwich. The place was not too busy, food was brought out quick and it was delicious. Sandwiches come with soup of the day, which was also great. The staff is quick to take orders and they’re on top of cleaning up tables. Overall this is a great deli downtown whose food is tasty and the place is very cute. Good place for family, friends, couples, etc. They also serve ice cream which looked great but I was too full!
In my wanders found Main Street Deli downtown Brownsville, Texas ! Good food , good portions and good people ..... They have Blue Bell ice cream too! Enjoyed everything.... Including my surprise dinner guest ..... Salud!
I ordered my favorite dish from Main Street Deli; the Chicken Poblano. We had a family dinner with over 8 guests and service was pretty quick. We shared little bits of the dishes that we ordered and everything was delicious. I recommend.
